This adorable craft can be made for less than $4! You can use this to decorate for Memorial Day or Fourth of July.

Quick and easy crafts are my jam, so I love participating in the Craft Lightning Challenge, where all crafts are made in under 15 minutes. Fun, right?

This month’s challenge is all about Patriotic Crafts. The craft has to be completed, minus drying time, in 15 minutes or less.

When I participate in these challenges, I like to use items I already have in my craft room.

As I may be somewhat of a craft hoarder, lol this is never a problem.

I checked out my supplies and saw I had a full roll of twine that I picked up at the Dollar Store, so I grabbed that.

Next, I grabbed a mason jar and red and navy blue paint and I was ready to create!

Supplies Needed For Twine Patriotic Mason Jar

Instructions:

Step 1.

Add a dab of hot glue to the top of the mason jar and wrap the twine all the way around the mason jar to cover the entire jar.

Add a dab of hot glue at the end as well.

Step 2.

Paint the top third of the mason jar any shade of red that you have on hand.

Step 3.

Paint the bottom third of the mason jar any shade of blue you like. I went with a lighter blue.

Sit back and enjoy your patriotic mason jar! There are several ways you can decorate with these:

Add a small pillar candle holder
Place outside under an umbrella and place a battery operated tea light inside
Line a window sill with several to show your patriotic spirit
Fill with seasonal flowers-real or faux
Fill with candy and a gift tag as a hostess gift
