Christmas Advent Calendar
I’m so excited to share this DIY Christmas Advent Calendar with you.
When my kids were younger, I tried to make a new one each year, but may have given them the $1 chocolate advent calendars in a pinch.
I hate to admit that they probably loved them just as much as my handmade ones!
Nothing makes a kid happier than a chocolate treat.
You can see the Christmas Countdown Calendar that I shared for last year’s 12 Days of Christmas.
For this Christmas Advent Calendar I decided to use the vintage ladder that I shared a couple of years ago.
It sits in my living room to hold blankets, and with 6 rings, I knew it was the perfect size to hold 24 muslin treat bags!
You can see how I made the adorable Christmas Gnome with Dollar Store supplies here
Supplies Needed For Christmas Advent Calendar Ladder
- Ladder

Instructions
Step 1.
Cut the Classic Ornaments transfers and place one on each individual muslin bag.
Step 2.
“Fuzz” the transfer before placing it on the muslin bags.
If you have never used Chalk Couture, here is a printable which shows the four simple steps for applying a transfer:
Step 3.
Use Chalk Couture Ink in teal or coral and a squeegee to transfer the image to each muslin bag. Remember, a little goes a long way.
Step 4.
Remove each transfer and rinse them off with cold water.
Step 5.
Fill each bag with goodies and add all 24 to the ladder rings.
Here is what they look like on the ladder:
