I don’t do a lot of decorating for St. Patrick’s Day. It’s a super fun Holiday and I grew up in a small town with a large Irish population. The parade rivals big City parades and is something my family attended each year. Once we were old enough to go with our friends, we may have indulged in a green beer or two! But when it comes to decorating my house, I usually just put a festive wreath on the door like this Dollar Store Wreath:
Or this lucky leprechaun themed wreath:
But I love a good banner-especially when it tops a letter board! When I was thinking about what my letter board should say, I searched Pinterest and saw so many fun St. Patrick’s Day quotes. There were several that stuck out and I narrowed it down to these three:
- Everyone Is Irish On St. Patrick’s Day
- I’ll Be Irish In A Few Beers
- Lucky To Be Blessed
But I went with Lucky To Be Blessed. It just spoke to me and seemed like a perfect sentiment to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! One of the great things about owning a Cricut is you can literally whip up a craft project in five minutes and that is about how long this banner took. Let me show you how easy this was.
St. Patrick’s Day Letter Board Banner
The first thing I did was pull up the Cricut Design Space™ app on my computer and search for banners:
I decided to go with a simple pennant banner using glittery green cardstock:
Just set the size you want and cut. 4 pennant banners were all that was needed to top off this cute letter board. I used mini clothespins and twine to up the cute factor:

Add your quote and a little pipe cleaner four leaf clover and you have an adorable decorating idea to enjoy whether you are Irish or not! Letter boards are a really fun way to celebrate holidays or different seasons. Look how cute it looks in this Farmhouse Style Spring Vignette:
