I’m taking a break from the Christmas decorating to try out a holiday cocktail with a few of my blogging friends.
Be sure to read to the end of this post to see all of the festive holiday drinks.
We spend Christmas Eve at my sister’s house and each year we try out a new signature drink.
It’s usually in the form of a martini, because we both enjoy them.
Last year it was a white chocolate cherry martini:
The year prior it was a peppermint martini:
A favorite from a few years ago was this vanilla eggnog chocolate martini:
In keeping with tradition, we went with another martini. Why break tradition?
This time our holiday cocktail is in the form of a red velvet cupcake chocolate martini. Yum!
Bailey’s Red Velvet Cupcake Chocolate Martini
Let me tell you, this is seriously like dessert in a glass.
It has rich flavors of red velvet, but isn’t too sweet.
You can mix it with plain vodka if you like, but I went with vanilla.
The flavors blend perfectly.
I can’t wait for my sister to try it.
She is very choosy about her martinis, but I know she is going to love this one!
The main ingredient is the newly released Bailey’s Red Velvet Irish Cream Liqueur in partnership with Georgetown Cupcake.
You can read all about it on All Recipes here.
It’s limited edition, so if you want to try this recipe, grab it quick.
This red velvet liqueur can also be used in baking. Red velvet cupcakes are up next!
Stay tuned for that. You may also want to see how I used the Bailey’s Red Velvet in a shot here.

Love the combination and the color is perfect! I make coffee at home to save money. However, I've never tried to make martini by myself, but I will now! :) Thanks for sharing.
