Welcome friends! It’s our second Movie Monday Challenge and I can barely contain my excitement!! This movie is at the top of my list to see and thankfully my daughter will be home on Spring Break when it comes out. You know what that means? We will be there front and center to see this movie. Yippee!!

Beauty and the Beast was always one of my favorite Disney movies. The fact that Belle was so headstrong and a book worm really appealed to me! It was also great that she saw beyond the tough exterior and appearance of the Beast. As soon  as I found out what the Movie selection was, I immediately knew what I would make.  The enchanted rose and what it signified was such a big part of this movie, so I decided to make a DIY Flower Cloche inspired by this. Who can forget this scene from the original:

I did change the rose from red to yellow as yellow roses have special meaning to me as they were my Mom’s most favorite flower. Here is what you need to make your own DIY Flower Cloche.

Materials

Glass Cloche

Cardstock-color of your choice

Fishing Wire

Glue Gun

Paper Punch or Scissors

I was a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator for a few years and have quite a few paper punches. If you don’t have one you can cut out oval shapes from the cardstock. It is a lot faster with a Punch though! You need about 20 of the individual petals then you just layer the petals with a hot glue gun to hold it together. For the center of the flower I rolled the petal as shown in the below photo.

Next, place a dab of hot glue at the top of the glass and attach a piece of fishing wire. Place another dab of hot glue in the center of the rose and attach the other end of the fishing wire, ensuring that the wire is short enough so the rose  is floating. You can find these cloches at thrift stores and they are so versatile.

Your flower cloche is beautiful and I love how you used a yellow rose because it was your mom's favorite. I also love how you made the rose float. So pretty!
