Movie Monday Challenge-DIY Wonder Woman Sign

Sharing is caring!

We are back with the Movie Monday Challenge and this month is Wonder Woman! Thank you to Megan of C’mon Get Crafty for hosting this fun challenge. The new Wonder Woman movie releases June 2nd and my sister Lori and I plan to see it. We grew up watching Lynda Carter in the television series and I was surprised to read it only aired for three seasons. For some reason I thought it was on a lot longer. I’m definitely feeling nostalgic with this challenge. I remember sitting in front of the television with Lori and waiting for Diana Prince to spin around and turn into Wonder Woman!

The thing that really resonated with me about Wonder Woman was she was such a strong female character and really pretty much everyone wanted to be her. So for this challenge I chose to make a DIY Wonder Woman sign that says just that. Here is the finished project and then I’ll share an easy tutorial:

I had an old board on hand that I already stained. It was meant for another project that I never got around to and it was perfect for this sign.

I printed the Wonder Woman symbol from a free website and used my favorite transfer technique. Simply lay the graphite transfer paper down and place the laser ink photo copied image on top securing with painters tape. Next use a ball point pen to trace over the image.

It leaves a perfect outline and then you just trace it with the sharpie paint pen. I use this technique quite often especially when transferring to wood. It is so simple and you don’t have to worry about stencils. Finally, add in the quote and you are good to go!

Isn’t this a fun saying? I plan to hang it in my cubicle at work to make me smile when I’m having a bad day. I can think back to fun memories with Lori where we would take turns spinning around to turn into Wonder Woman! Good times ? Now if I could only find the Halloween Picture of us dressed as Wonder Woman we could really have some laughs!

I hope you enjoyed this DIY Wonder Woman Sign. Be be sure to check out the other blogs to see what they created. The links are below. Have a great day!

I love the sign, it looks great! I am amazed that they still sell carbon paper but it's so much easier to transfer designs such as the one you chose.
