If you like little red trucks, they have a bunch of those. I chose to go with a classic Christmas quote to add to my Christmas front porch.
Let me show you how easy this is to make so you can make your own.
Pallet Wood Christmas Sign Supplies
- Pallet or scrap wood
- Christmas Gift Bag
- Mod Podge Clear Acrylic Sealer
- Picture Hanging Kit
- Foam Brush
Step 1.
Start by finding a large gift bag that you love. You can also find them at craft and home stores.
Step 2.
Use old pallets, or scrap wood to make a wood base in the size that you need for the bag. I’m so thankful to My Dad for making a bunch of these for me.
One of my favorite uses for these were rustic wood frames.
Step 3.
Add mod podge to the wood base using a foam brush.
Step 4.
Place the bag on top of the wood and trim any excess.
Step 5.
Cover the entire piece with another layer of mod podge.
Step 6.
Use a credit card to smooth out the wrinkles.
Step 7.
Attach a picture hanger to the back and it’s ready to hang!
You can see how it looks hanging on my front porch:
It really becomes a statement piece for this space. Look at how different the same space looks without the sign:
Also, if you get any cool gift bags this season, definitely keep them to repurpose for next year. One thing I also do is after Christmas sales to get gorgeous gift bags for deep discount.
