Hello and thanks for stopping by. I’m having so much fun decorating my home for Christmas.

It really is something I look forward to all year.

There’s something so magical about this time of year.

Plus, any time I get to go a little “extra” with decorating makes me a very happy camper!

One of the many things I enjoy about blogging is that I get to team up with some seriously talented people.

This year I’m thankful to be participating in the Christmas Porches Tour hosted by Amy from Atta Girl Says.

There are a dozen festive porches all decked out for the holidays.

You will find the links at the end of this post, so be sure to stop by for a visit.

I’ve seen a sneak peek and you are in for a treat!

We hope to inspire you with your own holiday decorating this year.

Little Red Truck Christmas Decor Front Porch

If you follow me on Facebook, you know I have a slight obsession with all things little red truck.

The funny thing is, I’ve never decorated with them until this year.

While shopping with my daughter a few weeks ago, I found this adorable light up red truck ornament:

Then my daughter bought me this larger truck from Target:

That totally inspired me to have fun with my Christmas porch decor this year and incorporate a little red truck theme.

The refinished deacon’s bench  at the top of the porch steps opens for storage, which you can never have enough of.

It holds seasonal items for gardening  and yard work.

It’s also a fun spot to decorate for each season.

The Merry Christmas pillow and buffalo plaid blanket make for a cozy reading spot.

wood christmas presents (1)

The scrap wood Christmas presents are a recent DIY project.

They fill in the bottom of the bench nicely and look like actual presents until you get close.

Buffalo plaid has such a classic Christmas feel, though I tend to decorate with it year round.

One of my most popular projects are these buffalo check curtains.

red truck sign

The space on the side of the door needed a little something. Chalk Couture to the rescue!

I used scrap pallet wood and the O’ Christmas Tree Transfer to make a quick sign.

A command hook is all that’s needed to hang it.

christmas garland

One item that I love to buy fresh each Christmas is pine garland.

It looks beautiful around the front door and I love how it falls in different directions.

It’s definitely a big statement piece for a small price.

You can pick it up at the grocery store for about $15!

Just when I thought I was done with all things red truck, I found the adorable Merry Christmas door mat. How could I pass that up?

red truck rug

Layered rugs are everywhere and I totally understand why.

The addition of the buffalo plaid rug really added depth and dimension to this space.

lighted red truck christmas wreath

You remember that ornament that started it all?

It has center stage on the DIY Christmas wreath hanging on the front door.

A small flocked tree, topiary and be merry porch sign complete the Christmas porch decor.
