Best 3 Ingredient Sugar Cookies
My husband owned a bakery for many years, so when the holidays rolled around, I left the baking to him.
This year I decided to pull out his recipe box and try my hand at one of my kids favorite Christmas cookies.
It’s nothing fancy, but every year they would ask for these cookies. They didn’t want any frosting on them, or sprinkles.
Just the deliciously soft and flavorful sugar cookies using just Dixie Crystals sugar, flour and butter.

When my daughter came home and saw me baking. I showed her the recipe and she said “your making Dad’s sugar cookies”?
Isn’t it amazing how a simple thing like a 3 ingredient cookie recipe can become so much more? Holidays are all about memories.
The kids don’t care how fancy the cookie is, or how many ingredients are in it. Sometimes less, really is more.
We enjoyed a warm sugar cookie with a glass of milk and talked about a few other Dad cookie recipes we could bake this year.
Classic peanut butter blossoms are next!
You can definitely add frosting or sprinkles, or serve them warm and fresh from the oven with a big glass of milk. Either way, they are perfect!
These would also be great to bring to a holiday party.
Put them in a cute cookie tin like this adorable little red truck tin I found at the dollar store:
Here is a printable recipe for this family favorite 3 ingredient sugar cookie.

Hi. The butter is what holds it together. I'm sorry it didn't take for you. You could try to melt the butter to see if that gives you the liquid. We've made them for years with no issues. Also, there are other positive reviews from readers who had no issues.

This is so sweet that you made your husbands cookie recipe. My kids also love sugar cookies, but they can be a hassle to make. They also just love them plain and eat them as fast they come out of the oven. I can't wait to try this recipe.
