Hello and welcome to Our Crafty Mom! One of my favorite things to do on a day off is to hit the thrift stores. You never know what you will find. My daughter always teases me because I say I’m looking for “a diamond in the rough”. Well I definitely found a diamond the last time I went thrifting. I found this cane top table in great shape for $3!! You read that right-$3. I pretty much ran to the register with it.
I am sharing this table makeover as part of a monthly Thrift Store Upcycle challenge! Thank you to Amanda from The Kolb Corner for hosting! This month there are 21 bloggers who have teamed up to bring you tons of thrift store ideas. You will definitely be inspired so be sure to visit the talented bloggers below to see what they created.

I found the perfect shade of Aqua! It is so bright and cheery now and looks like a completely different table. Here is what I used on this table makeover:
This Purdy brush is AMAZING! You know how some paint brushes lose bristles in the paint? That did not happen with this brush at all. I also used it on the small edge of this table and the angled brush made it so easy.
I taped off the top of the table and gave it two coats of the white paint.
Then I used the beautiful aqua color to paint the legs and trim. I gave it two coats as well. I am loving this maxx gloss finish. It is the perfect sheen! Can you imagine what this table would cost in a furniture store? Certainly not $3!
I hope you enjoyed this cane top table makeover. Thanks for visiting!
