These winter coffee table decorating ideas are simple and so pretty!
I finally have all the Christmas decor away and wanted to share some tips for winter coffee table decorating ideas.
I always think its best to start with a blank canvas:
This table is one of my favorite pieces of furniture. It is classic farmhouse with all kinds of natural chippy goodness.
I bought it about 5 years ago and it is something I can’t imagine ever getting sick of.
For someone who is always painting furniture and redecorating, that says alot. When shopping for furniture in your local or online furniture store, don’t go with trends or fads, but go with what you truly love.
WINTER COFFEE TABLE DECORATING IDEAS
Next gather items that you may like to decorate with, in other words “shop your house”. I had a few ideas of what I wanted.
I knew I wanted to use the large ironstone pitcher that I love and is classic farmhouse. I wanted to use pinecones, as they are great for Winter decorating.
I also like to decorate with trays as I feel they anchor a table, rather than just having the items floating. I didn’t want it to be cluttered as this is where we watch movies.
Try a few different options until you find what you like. This is what I settled on:
The ironstone pitcher looks great with the Winter stems I picked up for 70% off after Christmas.
They have pinecones and faux snow. I love the aqua color.
I’ve had the lantern forever, but the black finish was too harsh with the white. I gave it a very light whitewash and now it blends better.
You see those awesome fairy lights?
They are from The Dollar Tree! Those are real antler sheds that my Dad found for me. I spray painted them silver and added some twine.
If you’ve visited before you know I love owls! I placed a white owl in a chicken wire cloche with acorns and pinecones.
I hate clutter and try to find pretty ways to hide necessities-like television remotes. Did you know cigar boxes are the perfect size for remotes? Yup-they fit perfectly!
I always find cigar boxes at flea markets for a dollar or two. I cover them with pretty papers and ribbon. This one is kept on the bottom shelf of the coffee table to hold the remotes. Cute right?

Thanks Alicia. I wasn't quite ready for Valentine's Day, so figured this would be a good project in between. Have a good day!
