Welcome friends! Today marks the first day of the official Michelle James² Craft Corner. I have a funny story to share explaining how this came about. Basically, there are two crafty Michelle James’ sharing projects with you today! Yup-you heard right! The little 2 in Michelle James² means there are two of us bringing you crafty goodness twice a month!

Michelle and I became blogging buddies basically because we are in a lot of the same blogging groups and challenges. If you’ve visited Our Crafty Mom before, you know I am a host of the Home Matters Linky Party. One day I was looking at the party and saw there was a Michelle James as a contributing blogger that day. I was confused at first, then I looked further and sure enough, not only do we have the same name, but we have so many common interests, that we were bound to become fast friends! Check this out:
- Both were Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators
- Both participate in the Fab Furniture Flippin’ Contest
- Both are Brand Ambassadors for the Old Fashioned Milk Paint Co
- Both love scrapbooking and card making
- Both were co-hosts of the Home Matters Linky Party
- Both have two kids ages 25 and 20
Is that a little crazy or what? But the most important thing is, we both love to craft, create and decorate so it made sense to join forces with this fun Craft Corner. Basically twice a month we will both create a project to share with you that we decide upon ahead of time. For example, with Halloween rapidly approaching, we agreed to create a Halloween Card. So, without further ado, let’s bring on the craftiness!
For my project, I wanted to try to make one of those cool 3-D cards that I have been seeing all over. It is so fun and was not difficult at all. I can’t wait to mail this to my nephew, I know he will love it!

This is basically ten separate layers that you attach to give a cool 3-D effect. I think my nephew will get a kick out of displaying this in his room.
If you don’t have a Cricut, they are running a great special right now click here
If you are not familiar with Cricut, check out their website here. It is so versatile and the possibilities are endless for what you can make. I use it all the time to make signs, pillows, party favors. It is definitely a lifesaver for someone like me who loves to create. I hope you enjoyed our first Craft Corner and will join us again for our next one on October 28th when we will share a Thanksgiving project. Now, don’t forget to head on over to my blogging buddy Michelle James @ Michelle James Designs
Thanks for visiting Our Crafty Mom! Have a great day!

Hi! It was on Cricut Design Space when I first made it several years ago. If you search under Halloween cards you can see if it is still there.
