Can you prepare a charcuterie board ahead of time?

The best way to serve the cheese board is to make it the same day you are serving it. However, you can prepare everything the day before. Place smaller items like blueberries or olives in small ramekins and cover them with plastic wrap in the refrigerator. Keep crackers stored in the pantry at room temperature, then add them to the board right before serving.

What should I serve my charcuterie on?

You can serve your charcuterie on a rectangle or round wood board depending on the size you are creating. Another option is to use a ceramic tray or platter.

What types of cheese should I include in a charcuterie board?

It is best to include a mix of hard and soft cheeses. Hard cheese includes parmesan, gouda or asiago. Soft cheese includes burrata, mascarpone or stracchino. You can also include a blue cheese for a popular option.
