What is Canva
If you haven’t tried Canva yet, it’s a free web-based design platform that makes it easy to create everything from social media graphics, wall art for your home in different sizes, flyers, brochures, posters, and so much more.
One of my favorite shortcuts is to start from a pre-made Canva layout instead of starting from scratch.
I’m sharing the hydrangea baby shower invitation that I designed for my daughter’s baby in bloom shower.

Download Baby in Bloom Baby Shower Invitations
Here is what you need to do to update the invitation with your information:
- Open Invitation Link: Baby in Bloom Baby Shower Invitation Template
- Add Text: Click on Text in the left hand column. Add the name of the mom-to-be in the blank space below the “Please join us” text. I used “the seasons” font for the name and “montserrat” for the remaining date, time, address and RSVP information. You can use whatever font that you like.
- Add Registry: It is really helpful to add a registry scan where mom-to-be is registered. When guests receive the invitation they can simply scan the link and it will take them directly to the registry. Simply upload your scan as an image and add it to the lower right corner of the invitation, or even on the back.
- Print: Download to print at home, at your favorite print shop, or even directly on Canva. I chose to go with Canva directly and was very happy with the finished product. 25 5×7 invites on premium paper (recommended) with envelopes and free shipping for $29. The turnaround time was fast; about 7-10 days.

The thing I love about creating your own invitations is you can add whatever elements or designs that you want. Change out colors, flowers or update for a wedding, Mother’s Day or whatever theme you like.
