Ingredients for a Candy Cane Caprese Board

  • fresh tomatoes sliced
  • slices of fresh mozzarella cheese – you can also use mozzarella balls or goat cheese
  • fresh basil leaves
  • fresh rosemary
  • olive oil
  • balsamic glaze
  • sprinkle of sea salt
  • crackers or toasted baguette slices

How to Make a Caprese Candy Cane Board

Slice the tomatoes into thick slices. We love this tomato slicing knife. This bad boy cuts like butter! 🙂

Place the tomatoes on a serving platter of your choice.

We used a wood slice serving board, but you can use whatever serving board you have handy.

Start at the top of the candy cane shape and create the candy cane stripes by alternating a slice of mozzarella with a slice of tomato until you form a candy cane shape.

Place fresh basil leaves around the candy cane. You can also top with sprigs of rosemary.

Serve with balsamic vinegar and crackers or toasted baguettes.

  • 3 Tomatoes
  • Basil Leaves
  • Balsamic Glaze
  • Crackers

Instructions

  • Slice the tomatoes.
  • Start at the top end of the candy cane shape and create the candy cane stripes by alternating a slice of mozzarella with a slice of tomato until you get a big candy cane shape.
  • Place fresh basil leaves around the candy cane
