This sparkling apple cider pulled pork is made in the slow cooker, but you can also cook it in the oven.
The addition of sparkling apple cider gives it so much flavor, especially when paired with your favorite barbecue sauce. It’s a delicious mix of sweet and tart!
As soon as the cooler temps arrive, I love to use my slow cooker to make hearty soups and fall-flavored recipes like this delicious apple cider pulled pork.
We’ll have pulled pork sandwiches with pasta salad.
I’ll make up a batch on a Sunday so we can have leftovers during the week.
One of my daughter’s favorite ways to use leftover pulled pork is over nachos with all the fixings, or in tacos. It also freezes really well.
Ingredients for Apple Cider Pulled Pork
- 4-5lb Pork Roast
- 1 cup Sparkling Cider
- 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce
- Buns

Instructions for Pulled Pork
Place the pork roast in the slow cooker.
Pour the sparkling apple cider over the pork roast.
Slow cook for 8hrs on low or 4hrs on high.
Drain any leftover liquid and shred the pork. You can use two forks, or these really cool meat claws for shredding.
Then you just mix in the bbq sauce. I take the easy way out with Sweet Baby Ray’s, but you can make your own if you want.
Serve on buns and enjoy!
