Eggless Cake Recipe Ideas

Before we get to the cake recipes, let’s take a look at a few staple ingredients that are helpful to have in your pantry.

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you may know that my husband was a baker for most of his adult life.

We actually met at his bakery – which probably confirms my love of dessert!

He was very particular about baking at home.

I knew if I had the right ingredients in the pantry he would be more likely to bake on a Sunday.

So I made sure the pantry was stocked with dry ingredients.

There is a method to my madness. 🙂

Staple Dry Ingredients for Baking

  • brown sugar
  • white sugar
  • powdered sugar
  • all purpose flour
  • baking powder
  • baking soda
  • chocolate chips
  • quick oats or rolled oats
  • peanut butter

Wet Ingredients

  • apple cider vinegar
  • vanilla extract
  • butter (melted butter is common)
  • whipping cream
  • milk (evaporated and condensed)
  • oil

Tips for Baking Eggless Cakes

There are a few simple tips when baking an egg free cake. These will help ensure your cake is made just right with that moist texture we all love.

  • Be sure to preheat the oven to the recommended temperature. (350 degrees is common)
  • Avoid air bubbles when you pour the batter into the cake pans by pouring the cake batter at an angle and pouring slowly.
  • After you’ve poured the batter in to the cake tin, drop the tin on the kitchen counter a couple of times to force the air in the mixture to come to the surface.
  • Follow the exact baking times on the recipe card – even an extra couple of minutes can make a difference when baking the cake.
  • Let the cakes cool completely at room temperature before serving. (this is the hardest part)

Now, on to dessert. Happy baking!
