Elegant Christmas Tree With Blush And Metallics

Can I tell you how happy I am that this day is finally here? I absolutely love Christmas and look forward to decorating our Christmas tree each year.

I always try to make it a little different, without spending much money. This year the only thing I bought was blush ribbon and the vintage pink ornaments that I added copper leaf to.

You can see the easy tutorial here.

Last year I received a beautiful Classic Fraser Fir Christmas Tree from Tree Classics. I fell in love with it all over again as soon as I took it out of the box.

Not only is it realistic looking, but it is so easy to put together. It comes in 3 pieces plus includes a Quick Set™ lighting system, where a single plug is all it takes to light up your tree!

No more trying to plug multiple light strands together by yourself and bending under the tree to plug it in each night.

It is so full and has lifelike branches that hang down in a realistic manner. If I did not see this tree come out of a box myself, I would swear it was real!

For the topper I used pretty blush metallic picks and glittery poinsettias. They are a nice change from the bow that I normally use.

Last year I went with a farmhouse silver and white theme which you can see here. It always surprises me how different a tree can look with just different ribbon and ornaments.

I don’t think I can pick a favorite, but I am on a blush and rose gold kick this year, so I’m really happy with how this tree turned out. Another way to keep costs down when decorating a tree is to DIY a few ornaments.

You can see the pretty pink bottle brush tree ornament here.

I have been collecting ornaments for many years and my family usually buys me one or two each year. I also buy a new ornament every year for my two children to signify something this past year.

My plan is to gift the ornaments to them when they get married-way way down the road, lol! To be honest, this was the first year I didn’t unpack my collection.

We had a recent significant loss in our family and I just couldn’t bear to bring them out. Honestly, that makes having them all the more meaningful.

I know next year I will be able to unpack them and smile at the memory of receiving them 🙂

One trick I learned from one of my all time favorite bloggers, Craftberry Bush is to use poly-fil to create clouds of snow in the tree. It really gives it dimension too.

Another thing I have been doing for years that really fills in a tree nicely, is to use silk flowers, like these gorgeous poinsettias as fillers.

You can stick them right in with the stem, no need for hot glue. They really make an impact, especially in person.

Don’t Forget The Bottom!

I never used to leave presents under the tree because, you know, Santa brings them! Then as my kids got older they started snooping and unwrapping presents-bad right?

So now i just place everything under the tree the night before. This leaves the area under the tree looking sparse. I like to add a few things, like this pretty dough bowl filled with pink ornaments.

I also placed an old window on the side of the tree as it reflects the lights.

I embraced the pink and borrowed my daughter’s favorite pink throw to place on a side chair with my favorite DIY pillow that I show you how to make here.

The tree fit perfectly in the corner going up the stairs and doesn’t get in the way. It is right in the entryway as you arrive, so I’m very happy with the placement.

Here are a few pics of it all lit up:

My daughter was home today sick and she laid on the couch with the tree on, a candle lit and the fireplace going, watching her favorite shows.

Also snuggled in her favorite pink blanket so I think she was happy that the tree was up!

The combination of blush and metallic accents is gorgeous! This is definitely a tree for a girl to enjoy for all her own. Love it.
