If you are new here, welcome! If you are a return visitor, you know how much I LOVE wreath making.
I probably say this with just about every wreath I make, but this tobacco basket Christmas wreath is one of my favorites.
My most favorite is the little red truck Christmas wreath I shared here.
The cool thing about this holiday wreath is you can leave it up all winter, as it doesn’t really scream Christmas.
You can definitely add poinsettias if you want, but I tend to decorate in neutrals, so I kept it simple.
Here is the oh so simple tutorial:
DIY Tobacco Basket Christmas Wreath
Supplies
- Tobacco Basket
- Winter or Christmas Stems
- Floral Wire
Instructions
Step 1.
Place the Christmas stems in the lower left corner of the tobacco basket and use the floral wire to adhere it to the basket.
It’s helpful to use floral wire instead of hot glue, as you can remove it easily to use the basket after the holidays.
Step 2.
Continue to add floral stems to the basket until you are happy with the placement.
Step 3.
Add the stems only to the left side and bottom, so you can still see quite a bit of the tobacco basket.
Step 4.
Add white berry stems to the top of the arrangement to give it height and texture. I didn’t even use floral wire for this. You can just push it into the arrangement.

Step 5.
At this point I usually hang the wreath up and continue to add and arrange the floral stems to ensure everything is even. I also added a few frosted pine cones.
See how easy that was? This is my first tobacco basket wreath and I definitely see more in my future. I can totally see a Spring one with bright blooms.
I hope you enjoyed this tobacco basket wreath. If so, please PIN the below image:
