Welcome friends! If you’ve visited here before, you know I love to team up with other bloggers and join in fun blog hops. It is a great way for me to get to know other bloggers virtually, but it’s also great for you because you get to see other bloggers ideas just from clicking a link! As soon as Halloween is over, it is a mad rush to get Holiday decorating done. We have to start early so that you have time to duplicate the ideas if you want to. I am super excited to share these reversible Christmas pillows with you.
How To Make Reversible Christmas Pillows
Supplies
- Set of 2 White Pillow Cases
- Chalk Couture Ink Teal – I used Eucalyptus ink, but it is out of stock right now, Teal is the closest color, but more blue.
- Chalk Couture Ink Midnight Sky
- Beary Christmas Transfer
- Hello Handsome/Good Morning Gorgeous Transfer
- Cricut Easy Press or Hot Iron
Instructions
I used two sets of white pillow cases so the gift recipient can have a set of Christmas pillows on their bed. Start by ironing the pillow cases, or use an easy press if you are lucky enough to have one. I’m hoping Santa brings me one this year! Also, place something inside the pillow case so the ink does not bleed through. You can just use cardboard or poster board, whatever you have handy.
If you have not heard of Chalk Couture yet, you can see all the beautiful transfers and read about it here. I have been making all kinds of signs and crafts with their products over the last couple of months. Be warned, it is addictive!! Basically, these are not stencils, they are transfers with a silk screen area. You add chalk ink on fabric and once it is heat set it is permanent. It’s pretty cool!
On the opposite side of one pillow, I added Hello Handsome and on the second pillow, Good Morning Gorgeous. What a great gift for newlyweds, or any couple really. These are a gift but I can’t say for whom, because they read my blog 🙂
You don’t have to use much ink either, which means the ink will last a long time, so you can make lots of projects!

I have been trying to make pilowcases with chalk couture ink for a long time but every single time I try, the ink bleeds thru the transfer even when it's stuck down tight so when I peel it up, the words are all smudged. Any suggestions on why it's doing this? I'm trying to make gifts, but I can't make it work!
