Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini
As soon as September arrives I am ready to enjoy all things pumpkin!
So, I’m thrilled to be teaming up with some blogging friends for a festive Fall Flavors recipe hop.
A big thank you to Jolene from Jolene’s Recipe Journal for hosting this event.
Be sure to read to the bottom of this post to see the rest of the fall recipes.
There is a great mix of autumn desserts, main dishes, sides and cocktails to try.
I’ve been wanting to make an espresso martini for a while, so this is the perfect time to try it with my favorite pumpkin flavor.
I’m including a printable recipe card at the end of this post to make it easy to add to your recipe box.
Now, let’s get to this fall cocktail.
Ingredients
- 1 oz Vodka – I used Tito’s
- 1/2 oz Kahlua – or other coffee liqueur
- 1/2 oz Pumpkin Spice Creamer – I love Coffee Mate
- 1/2 oz Espresso – you can also use store-bought cold brew
Let’s Make a Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini
One of the things I love about this recipe is you only a few ingredients to make it. Plus, you can brew the espresso the day before if you want to plan ahead for drinks with friends.
Step 1. Add Ice to a Shaker
Start by filling your cocktail shaker with ice about 3/4 of the way. This will help chill the ingredients for a perfectly blended martini.
Step 2. Add Vodka and Kahlua
Next up, add in 1 oz of your favorite vodka and 1/2 oz of coffee liqueur.
Step 3. Add Espresso and Creamer
Now you want to add 1/2 oz each of your espresso and pumpkin spice creamer.
Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds. You want the martini to be well-blended. This will add to the creaminess of the cocktail.
Step 4. Pour into a Martini Glass
Slowly pour your blended martini into a martini glass. I went with a stemless glass.
Top with 3 espresso beans and a dash of pumpkin pie spice.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have coffee beans available, but it does make an espresso martini to include the beans.
Did you know there is actually a tradition behind the 3 beans?
When friends or loved ones raise their glasses for a toast while enjoying espresso martinis, they are honoring the three blessings of health, wealth and happiness.
So, you definitely want to include the 3 beans when toasting with friends!

This is fall in a martini! I love the simple ingredients. I'm always looking at cocktail recipes that call for ingredients I don't have or wouldn't usually buy. These are all things I have or would use regularly.
