Snackle Box Container
Did you see the cool mini tool box I shared on Facebook? I spotted this pink tool box at Lowe’s and knew it would come in handy for holding small craft supplies.
I scooped it up and then my mind starting spinning with ideas for what to fill it with.
Look at all the beautiful color options:
You can’t beat the price. It is under $20 for the 2-drawer model and under $25 for the 3-drawer model.
The great thing is you can stack them! Be sure to continue reading to the bottom of this article as I’ll be sharing several creative ideas for how to use these handy containers.
Snackle Box Ideas
Supplies
- Tool Box or Tackle Box
- Snackle Box Containers
- Snacks – customize the snackle box for the recipient. Below I will share a list of ideas. For this box, my plan is to create a kids candy box for movie nights or a treat box.
- Ribbon
- Gift Tag
Start by planning out the food and snacks you want to add to your box.
The top of the tool box is perfect for thin snacks like peanut butter cups and candy bars. The second drawer is just deep enough for mini containers to hold skittles, M&M’s, and gummi worms.
To add a festive touch I included cute snowman-themed candy and a couple of mini candy canes placed in a heart shape.
The drawer still has plenty of room to close with the covers on the containers.
The bottom drawer is nice and deep perfect for holding larger snack bags like cookies and chips.
I can imagine the kids faces when they open this snackle box. One of the reasons I went with this tool box container is they can use it after to hold their arts and crafts supplies.
Add a pretty ribbon and a gift tag and this sweet treat box is ready for gifting!

Snackle Box Ideas for Adults
If you are looking for snackle box food ideas for adults, here are a few options. It’s a good idea to include a mix of sweet and savory with some healthier options as well.
- protein bars
- beef jerky
- peanuts – mixed nuts, cashews, pistachios
- veggies – carrot sticks, celery with peanut butter
- fresh fruit – blueberries, raspberries, grapes
- chocolate covered fruit or dried fruit
- pretzels, chips, veggie straws
- small cookies or other mini treats
- charcuterie themed – consider a classic charcuterie snackle box with meats and cheeses
Just to give you another option for the tool box I wanted to show how it would look with protein bars and beef sticks.
The small containers on the bottom can hold a mix of fruits and veggies. You can also roll up meat and cheese to go with the charcuterie idea.
Be sure to include an ice pack in the bottom drawer. The containers can be prepped ahead of time and kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to go.
Themed Snackle Box
Embrace a theme! Consider creating a themed snackle box for specific outings.
Here are some ideas:
- S’mores Delight: Pack graham crackers, chocolate bars, chocolate candies, and an assortment of marshmallows in a fun s’mores box.
- Movie Night Treats: Include popcorn, assorted candies, cookies, dry cereal, and mixed snacks.
- Beach Picnic: Fill it with finger meat and cheese, crackers, carrot sticks, celery sticks, sliced fruits, and a container of hummus.
- Road Trip Munchies: Enjoy a mix of nuts, olives, peeled clementines, individual cheese wheels, berries, grape tomatoes, pepperoni slices, and pretzels.
