Hello and welcome to Cricut party week! I’ve been crafting away having a great time playing with my brand spanking new Cricut Maker. All I can say is WOW!

I started with  my first Cricut about 12 years ago. It was the Cricut Expression and used cartridges. Does anyone remember those days? I also had the Cuttlebug, which I used for card making.

Several years ago I upgraded to the Cricut Explore and then the Explore Air 2. The Cricut Maker has been on my wish list since it was first introduced in 2018.

One of the main reasons I wanted the Maker was because I do a lot of sign making and the Maker can cut craft wood, in addition to hundreds of other materials.

Here is just a small sampling of what the Maker can cut:

What Materials Can The Cricut Maker Cut?

• Matboard
• Leather
• Basswood
• Cardstock
• Vinyl
• Iron-On
• Poster Board

I’m working on some leather earrings that I plan to share in the next week or so. There are just so many things you can make and it’s much easier than you think.

I have two little nieces that are 4 and 2, Lilo and Maggie. They make the holidays so much fun. So with Easter rapidly approaching, I thought it would be fun to make some sweet bunny bag party favors for Easter.

Of course they will still get an Easter basket, but these can be placed at their seat, or even given to them when we arrive. Let me show you how simple these were to make.

I kind of have a thing for adorable bunnies for spring. You can see the cute burlap bunny sign I made and 21 diy Easter bunny crafts.

How To Make Cricut Bunny Bag Party Favor

Supplies needed to make bunny bags with infusible ink:

• Muslin Bags
• Infusible Ink – I used Mermaid Rainbow 
• Cricut Machine 
• Cricut Bunny Cut File 
• EasyPress
• EasyPress Mat or folded towel
• Parchment Paper

Step 1.

Load the infusible ink paper into the Cricut Maker. 

Step 2.

Upload the bunny image into Cricut Design Space. I used my iPad for this. It is so convenient.

Step 3.

Size the image to fit the party bag and duplicate the image. Be sure to set “mirror image” with infusible ink.

Step 4.

Remove the cut bunny from the mat. 

Step 5.

Heat the Easy Press to 205 and set the timer to 40 seconds.

Step 6.

Quickly warm up the muslin bag then place the bunny cut in the center of the bag. 

Step 7.

Place a piece of parchment paper over the party bag and place the Easy Press on top for the 40 seconds. I love that the Easy Press has a timer!

Step 8.

Remove the infusible ink and get ready to be amazed! I made two different size bunnies.

I will say Cricut carries a line of blanks, including t-shirts, tote-bags and coasters. The material is made specifically for infusible ink. The ink definitely shows much brighter on these products.

However, I’m still very happy with how the infusible ink adhered to these muslin bags. It confirms how versatile this product is. I’ve made a few t-shirts that I plan to wear to a conference I’m attending next week.

My plan is to add some photos wearing the shirts.
