I’ve officially started creating some new fall projects and this DIY chinoiserie pumpkin fall centerpiece is my first one.

DIY Chinoiserie Pumpkin Fall Centerpiece

Can I just say how obsessed I am with this gorgeous centerpiece?

I had leftover blue and white napkins from this chinoiserie vase project and knew they would be perfect to makeover a white pumpkin.

Thankfully I didn’t have to buy anything for this project.

One of the ways I’m able to decorate on a budget is by using pieces I already own.

You can see how I decorated with this very same stone urn using sunflowers and artichokes.

Each season I pick up a bunch of dried hydrangeas at a local craft fair.

I’ve never had luck drying my own. If you have any tips, please let me know!

Here is what you need to make your own chinoiserie and hydrangea centerpiece:

Supplies Needed For Chinoiserie Pumpkin Fall Centerpiece

Start by removing the top layer of the napkin.

2 ply blue and white napkins

Cut out different shapes and sizes from the blue and white napkin.

Then it’s just a matter of decorating the pumpkin with the pretty flowers.

As the napkin is very thin, it works best adding mod podge to the pumpkin first and then gently laying the cut napkin onto it.

Once it’s secure add a light layer of mod podge over the napkin.

Set the pumpkin aside and start with the centerpiece.

foam wreath cut

Cut the foam wreath in half and secure it to the base of the vase with hot glue.

Begin adding the fall stems all the way around the vase until it is nice and full.

Once the leaves have been added, start hot glueing the dried hydrangeas around the vase.

Choose a vase that fits the size of the pumpkin.

Luckily this stone urn fit perfectly with the pumpkin I had.

Just sit the pumpkin on top. This can easily be changed out for Christmas by removing the leaves and adding poinsettias, or other holiday stems.

Wouldn’t this look great on a fall tablescape, or on a mantel?

There are so many ways you can use it to decorate your home for the autumn season.

I hope you enjoyed this project and will stop by in the coming weeks for more budget-friendly fall and holiday decorating ideas.

Please PIN for later!
