Making a perfect Lemon Drop Martini is easy—all you need are a few simple ingredients and your favorite martini glasses.

The first step to making the perfect Lemon Drop Martini is gathering the necessary ingredients.

You’ll need quality vodka, triple sec, lemon juice, simple syrup, and crushed ice.

You can either buy simple syrup or make your own.

If you want a sugar rim you will also need superfine sugar.

Once you have these items on hand, it’s time to start mixing!

Ingredients To Make A Lemon Drop Vodka Martini

  • 2 oz Quality Vodka
  • 3/4 oz Triple Sec (or other orange liqueur)
  • 1 1/2 oz Lemon Juice (use fresh lemon juice if you can)
  • 3/4 oz Simple Syrup
  • Lemon Slices
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Ice Cubes

I have to thank my sister Lori for sharing this recipe.

She is the go to bartender for any of our family parties and this vodka martini is one of our favorites.

Lemon Drop Martini Recipe Instructions

Step 1. Coat the Rim (Optional)

Now that you have all of your ingredients ready to go, it’s time to mix the drink.

If you are planning to add a sugar rim, coat the rim of your cocktail glass with a bit of simple syrup or lemon juice.

Then coat the glass with sugar.

Step 2. Add Ingredients to a Cocktail Shaker

Start by combining 2 ounces of vodka with 1 ounce of triple sec in a shaker filled with ice.

Then add 1 teaspoon of simple syrup and 2 ounces of freshly-squeezed lemon juice.

Shake the shaker vigorously for 10-20 seconds until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Step 3. Strain Into A Martini Glass

The final step in making this delicious cocktail is serving it up! Serve chilled in your favorite martini glass (or even a coupe).

Add fresh raspberries, an orange slice or a lemon twist as a garnish for extra flavor and presentation points.

A Lemon Drop Martini is the perfect cocktail to enjoy during a night out with friends. It's light, refreshing, and has just the right amount of sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 2 Ounces Vodka
  • 3/4 Ounces Simple Syrup
  • 3/4 Ounces Triple Sec
  • 1 1/2 Ounces Lemon Juice (or freshly squeezed lemon)
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Lemon Slices
  • Ice Cubes

Instructions

  1. Place several ice cubes into a cocktail shaker.
  2. Pour in the vodka, triple sec, lemon juice & simple syrup.
  3. Shake well.
  4. Coat the rim of a glass with lemon juice & coat in sugar.
  5. Pour the lemon drop onto the glass.
  6. Garnish with a lemon slice.
  7. Cheers.
