Tips for Making Margaritas at Home

Should You Buy A Margarita Mix Or Make Your Own?

I strongly recommend making your own. The pre-made mixes are usually filled with sugar and can really change the taste of the margarita. The fresh mix is so much better!

How many tablespoons are in a shot?

1 shot = 3 tablespoons, so feel free to use that measurement if you don’t have a shot glass or jigger handy.

Can I use something other than lime juice?

Absolutely! Experiment with any tart citrus juice like grapefruit, lemon, etc. Use a 1-for-1 swap for the lime juice. You may also want to mix things up by using other fruit juice like mango, pineapple, pomegranate, etc.
