Happy New Year! 2016 is officially over and I am looking forward to a wonderful year both at Our Crafty Mom and in my personal life.
There is just something about the New Year that gives you a renewed sense that maybe what you weren’t able to accomplish last year, you will be able to accomplish this year!
I don’t like to set resolutions, as for the past 10 years it really seems to be the same one (weight loss), so this year I am going with the progress not perfection motto. Sounds good right?

I recently shared my Top 5 Posts of 2016 and was intrigued when Jenny from Refresh Living mentioned a Blog Hop about our 2016 Top Favs And Flops.
Now Flops doesn’t necessarily mean it was a bad project (at least that is what I’m telling myself 😉 but for whatever reason it just didn’t resonate with the readers.
Sometimes I will create something or decorate something and think it is the coolest thing, but it doesn’t get the page views that I was hoping for.
Other times I share a post that may not be my favorite, but the readers love it! You really just never know. So lets get to those flops!
Top 5 Flops of 2016
3. Leather Business Card Holder
5. National Blog Posting Month
I did learn a few things by writing this post, the top thing being stick with what I know and love.
It is not a bad thing to step out of your comfort zone every now and again-like I did with the Honesty post, but when you are writing a blog mostly about home decor, crafts and DIY projects, you can’t expect it to be a popular post.
I want to thank you all for supporting Our Crafty Mom and wish you all good things in the New Year! Thank you to Jenny at for hosting this blog hop.
Be sure to check out the other bloggers participating. You will find the links below.

I love all of these projects. I think they just weren't as popular as you mentioned. You always have such great ideas! I can't wait to see what amazing things you do this year.

Fun post about flops! I don't know how your French Poem table could be a flop, not in my book it is not that is for sure.
