You will need the following ingredients listed below to make this gnocchi and sausage recipe (the exact measurements, nutrition information and full recipe are all in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post).
INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR GNOCCHI AND SAUSAGE RECIPE
- Potato Gnocchi – I love Rana skillet gnocchi
- Sausage – I used smoked sausage
- Spinach – you can substitute with kale
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Parmesan Cheese
- Olive Oil
- Onion Powder
- Garlic Powder
- Salt and Pepper

Kitchen Tools
- Large Skillet – my dad bought me a set of Carote pans for Christmas and I’m obsessed.
- Sharp Knife
How to Make Gnocchi and Sausage
Cook the sausage: Place the sliced sausage in a large skillet with olive oil. Cook until the sausage has nice color on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Add the gnocchi: Add the gnocchi to the skillet and cook according to the package directions. The skillet gnocchi will get a nice brown color.

Add remaining ingredients: Add in tomatoes, spinach, onion powder and garlic powder.

Toss together and cook uncovered until the tomatoes and spinach are soft. Season with salt and pepper.

Top with parmesan cheese: Add parmesan cheese while hot and enjoy, or let it sit overnight and enjoy cold at your summer barbecue!

It is equally delicious both ways and tastes even better when all of the flavors blend together!

You can easily customize this recipe using spicy Italian sausage instead of sweet. Or, you may want to spice things up by adding crushed red pepper flakes.
