This post contains affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Please see my full disclosure here.

Each year around this time, I take a look back at my posts to see which were the most popular and which were the least popular.

This is good information to know, as it helps me determine what to share more of in the New Year and what I should stay away from.

Of course, I want to bring you projects that you are interested in, so I would love to hear in the comments below what your favorite post was and what you would like to see more of.

For example, would you like to see more recipes or perhaps more crafts?  Do you love my DIY projects most or maybe thrifty decorating ideas?

Top 10 Projects of 2018

We’ll start with the 10th most popular leading to the most popular in a countdown style.

10.  50 Amazing Ideas To Throw The Ultimate Graduation Party

My daughter graduated from College this past May and it was a highlight of 2018, so I was really happy to see this Graduation post in the top 10!

It is always fun to reach out to other bloggers to share their posts in roundups. This post helped me plan the Graduation party and so many ideas can be used for any Graduation from Kindergarten through Grad School!

You all know I love thrift store shopping and I am thrilled to see you like to see my thrift store projects. This is the third year I have done my Top 10 posts and thrift store projects are always in the Top 10.

I can’t wait to bring you more thrift store finds in the New Year!

8. Make A Fun Fourth of July Bandana Wreath

Dollar Store projects are also always very popular and this fun Fourth of July Bandana Wreath came in at number 8! Love my thrifty readers!

7. How To Make A Cool This Is Us T-Shirt

How To Make A This Is Us T-Shirt Our Crafty Mom

Like so many of you, I am in love with the show This Is Us. Owning a Cricut Explore Air Machine makes it so easy to create t-shirts, pillows and so much more.

This t-shirt was made for my Sister, who is also a huge fan of the show and she loved it! I was happy to see you did as well.

6. How To Make A DIY Floral Photo Hoop

With the popularity of embroidery hoops, I was not surprised to see how popular this photo hula hoop was. This was displayed at my daughter’s Graduation party.

It included photos from each of her four years of College. She was also a theatre major, in addition to Psychology, so some of the photos show her in costume.

If you are looking for a statement piece for a party, that is inexpensive, this is it! You can pick up the hula hoop at the Dollar Store.

5. How To Decorate With Vintage Ladders

Decorating With Vintage Ladders Our Crafty Mom

2017 was the first year I participated in the One Room Challenge. It was so much fun that I participated again this past October, with a Kitchen Makeover.

I hope to participate in the Spring One Room Challenge in April with a DIY Patio. I was not surprised to see this post in the top 10, as farmhouse style continues to be so popular and using vintage ladders is an inexpensive way to get a trendy look.

4. Upcycled Chicken Feeder Table Centerpiece

The farmhouse popularity continues with this upcycled chicken feeder that was filled with fresh lilacs for a Spring centerpiece idea. My Dad raises chickens and has a small farm.

This chicken feeder sat in his storage barn for years when he asked if I wanted it. This has been fun to decorate for different seasons.

See how I filled it with succulents here.

3. Spring Topiary Using A Tomato Cage

Spring Topiary Using A Tomato Cage

Just like with the chicken feeder, my Dad came through for me with this tomato cage project. He had several old tomato cages and I asked if I could bring one home.

I had seen several Christmas Tree Topiary ideas on Pinterest using a tomato cage and thought it would be fun to make a Spring one.

This is in my craft room and the added lights give a nice glow when I am crafting. So inexpensive and easy!

2. How To Make A Beautiful Epoxy Resin Desk

Epoxy Resin Desk

Can I just say how excited I am that this Epoxy Resin Desk is number 2 on the list? This was a labor of  love and was my first time working with this technique.

It is my favorite ever DIY project so it really makes me happy that you like it too! After this project I fell in love with paint pouring and just finished two new canvas pieces for my living room.

You can see a fun kid’s craft I shared here where I showed you how to make paint poured popsicle sticks and paint poured vases here.

Now for the most popular post in 2018! Can I get a drumroll please…

1. How To Easily Paint Fabric With Fusion Mineral Paint

How To Paint Fabric With Fusion Mineral Paint Our Crafty Mom

These thrift store chairs, that I paid $5 for, went through a huge transformation using a steam cleaner and paint! They were just shared for the One Room Challenge in October and were so popular.

If you are looking for an inexpensive way to makeover outdated furniture, consider painting. It has been just about three months since I painted these chairs and I am very happy with how they have held up.

Keep in mind it is just my 22 yo daughter and I in the house, so I wouldn’t go with this color if you have little kids, but definitely a darker color would work.

What I Learned

Just like in my Top 10 Projects of 2017,  thrift store makeovers are the most popular. They make up 4 out of the top 10. That is great news, because thrift store projects are some of my favorite things to do as well.

You will definitely see lots of those in the New Year. I will also continue to bring you easy, inexpensive crafts and decorating ideas.

There are a few new ideas I have been brainstorming and will be sharing those soon.

Let me take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for supporting this little blog of mine.  Being able to share my love of creating with you has been a blessing.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!
