I’m so excited to share my latest Dollar Tree craft with you all.

This beehive decor is super easy to make and absolutely adorable!

Plus, it would make the perfect addition to your spring and summer decor.

I have been wanting to make a bee skep forever.

Last summer I made a bumble bee wreath and just loved it.

So when I spotted this bumble bee ribbon on my recent trip to Hobby Lobby I knew it would be perfect to use for a beehive.

Ready to get started? Let’s go! 🐝

How to Make a Beehive (Bee Skep)

Step 1. Attach the rope

Start by hot gluing the rope to the bottom of the garden planter.

Step 2. Continue gluing the rope

Continue gluing the rope around the planter until it is completely covered.

Step 3. Paint a black opening

The easiest way to add an opening to the beehive is to use black paint.

You could definitely cut an opening, but paint is so much easier!

Step 4. Make a bow

Create a bow using a wide wired ribbon.

If you would like to see a quick tutorial for a DIY bow let me know in the comments below. 😃

Step 5. Attach the bow

Secure the bow to the top of the beehive with wire or a pipe cleaner.

What do you think of this cute dollar store craft?

I have to say I am LOVING this little beehive!

I also added some pretty spring flowers to make it pop, but that is totally optional.

And you can’t beat the cost of under $5. I’ve seen similar bee skeps online for about $20.
