A beautiful flocked tree filled with Christmas tree decorations in a pink and gold color scheme to create an elegant look.
Handmade ornaments and ribbon in pink velvet, gold mesh, and a pink gold leaf create a romantic and feminine decorated flocked tree.

The stunning pre-lit white flocked Christmas tree is from King of Christmas. I’m thrilled to be partnering with them again this year.
I went with the 6.5′ Queen Flock® Slim Artificial Christmas Tree With 500 Warm White LED Lights.
I’m not exaggerating when I say the tree is gorgeous without a single ornament!
It is a heavily flocked tree that I’m completely obsessed with.
The slim style is perfect for my small living room, but it will also look right at home in a larger space.

I’ve been decorating with artificial Christmas trees for over 20 years.
When our kids were young we had a family tradition each year where we would go to our local Christmas tree farm and tag our tree in early November.
The day after Thanksgiving we would go to the farm, enjoy the hayride and hot chocolate, and cut the tree down.
While I miss those days, I don’t miss the mess of sweeping up pine needles or dealing with adding water.
Plus, artificial trees have come a long way since then.
They are so realistic looking now and you can’t beat the convenience.
Not to mention I can keep it up all season long and it will look just as beautiful as the day it first went up!
Each year I try to come up with a new theme for my Christmas decorations.
One year I had a winter wonderland theme with white ribbon and gold and silver ornaments.
A favorite color theme was from many years ago (before blogging) when I went with classic red and white ornaments with red berry twigs.
At the time I had a very country-style home so it was perfect.
What did I use to decorate my Flocked Christmas Tree?
If you saw my living room mantel shared last week then you probably guessed the color scheme I would be going with for this year’s decor.
It is decorated in a vintage style with pops of pink and gold.
Of course, I wanted my tree to coordinate especially because the tree is right next to the mantel.
With only my daughter and I in the house, we went all in with the glitz and glam.
In fact, my daughter was pushing me to get a pink Christmas tree. You may just see that next year! 🙂
The first thing I do when decorating a tree is adding ribbon if the tree is pre-lit.
A quick tip: decorate the tree while the tree lights are on as it helps with placement.
I’ve had several readers ask how I can stay on budget while changing out themes each year.
The answer is I rarely buy anything new for the tree and I DIY ornaments each year-usually updating old ones.
I have 3 NEW ornament tutorials and a DIY tree topper tutorial that I will be sharing in the next week so be sure to come back and check those out.
They are so easy and pretty!
Usually, the only new decoration I buy is ribbon and I ALWAYS get that on sale.
Read my post all about what to buy after Christmas to save money next year.
An assortment of ribbons can take a tree from ordinary to extraordinary!
It adds texture and dimension and fills in any blank spots.
You want to go with at least 2 wired ribbons in complementary colors and textures.

Christmas Tree Decorating Tips
- Use ornaments in the same color family but with different textures and shapes
- Add in fillers like cotton stems, Christmas picks, and silk poinsettias
- Mix old and new ornaments for an eclectic look
- Hang a mirror or mirrors behind the tree – it reflects the twinkling lights just beautifully – DIY oyster shell mirror tutorial HERE
- Don’t forget around the tree – a basket of wrapped presents in the same color scheme is a great addition next to the tree or mantel. (shhh…those presents are empty-I reuse them each year with a different ribbon and ornaments)
I’m so excited to share the step-by-step tutorial for this Dollar Tree snowflake tree topper next week:
Here are some of my favorite pictures of this beautiful tree:
Some FAQs about the flocked tree:
Does it shed?
It sheds some when setting it up and taking it down, but not much at all. Here is a photo I snapped after setting it up:
A quick sweep or vacuum and you are good to go!
What happens if a light goes out?
If one light goes out, the rest stay lit!
Is the tree difficult to set up?
It is so easy to set up. It is literally 3 pieces, with everything labeled. It clicks right into place. I put it together by myself in just a few minutes.
You definitely want to spend some time fluffing the branches. Being packed in the box it will need a little fluffing, but that is normal.
Did I mention it includes fancy red gloves to wear while fluffing?
Doesn’t it look like Santa himself is fluffing the branches?
Here are a few photos of the quick setup.
I LOVE the handy storage bag. Not having much storage space I appreciate that.
It also includes a remote and an easy on/off foot pedal.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
I hope you enjoyed my pink and gold Christmas tree decorations.
